Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 July 2026

Sermon Binder (“we”, “us”) helps churches organise sermons, study notes, and related media. This page explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Who this applies to

This policy covers people who visit sermonbinder.com, request access, sign in, manage a church library, subscribe to email updates, or use our public embed.

Information we collect

  • Account details: when you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google.
  • Access requests: name, email, church name, and country if you ask for access.
  • Church content: series, sermons, notes, speakers, cover images, logos, and Studio thumbnails that your church uploads or connects.
  • Email subscribers: email address and notification preferences when someone subscribes to a church’s updates.
  • YouTube connection: if a church admin connects YouTube, we store channel details and a refresh token so Studio can upload on their behalf.
  • Usage: in production we use Vercel Analytics for basic anonymous traffic metrics.

How we use information

  • To provide and secure the product
  • To send invite, access-request, and sermon update emails you or your church have asked for
  • To publish embeds and study material your church chooses to share
  • To improve reliability and understand overall usage

Who we share with

We use trusted processors to run the service, including Supabase (database, auth, storage), Resend (email), Google (sign-in and, if connected, YouTube), API.Bible (passage text), and Vercel (hosting and analytics). We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

We use cookies needed to keep you signed in, remember your active church, and (when early access is enabled) remember the site unlock. Analytics may set its own cookies in production.

How long we keep data

We keep account and church data while your account or organisation remains active. Subscriber emails stay until the person unsubscribes or the church removes them. You can delete your account in Settings, which removes your login and personal profile data linked to it.

Your choices

  • Sign out or delete your account from Settings → Account.
  • Email subscribers can confirm, manage preferences, or unsubscribe using links in update emails.

Children

Sermon Binder is aimed at church staff and adult listeners. It is not directed at children under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. The date at the top will change when we do.
